America's Mental Health Dilemma

Mental health is one of the most overlooked issues in America.  According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in every 5 adults in America experience a mental illness.  Nearly 1 in 25 (10 million) adults in America live with a serious mental illness.  Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in youth age 10-24.  90% of those who died by suicide had an underlying mental illness.

In this episode we talk with Mike Veny, one of America's leading experts on mental illness about these and other mental health topics.  Mike speaks from his own personal experience dealing with mental illness, including being medicated for emotional instability and behavioral outbursts, and attempted suicide.
