Well, the third time's the charm. After two scheduled watched of this film, we finally will complete our commentary watch of the 1961 film "The Day The Earth Caught Fire" starring Leo McKern and directed by Val Guest (Quatermass, Quatermass 2, Expresso Bongo & When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth).

An extremely progressive film for 1961- this is a sober and serious look at nuclear war and even more pertinent today for its views on global warming and political posturing.
