In honor of Harry Belafonte's passing, we are honored to present a commentary watch of The World, The Flesh amd the Devil (1959).

The movie, produced by Harry Belafonte, is set in a post-apopolyptic future.  Harry Belafonte portrays a man who escapes from a mine to find the world unpopulated.  He then encounters a woman-played by Inger Stevens.  As they form a close friendship, another man (Mel Ferrer)- who is white, enters their world and social and racial drama ensues.
