 "I love my work and I have worked very hard to portray African-Americans with pride and dignity.

My goal is to bring to the forefront the seriousness of art as a
part of a person's heritage. I want my art to serve as a history lesson.

"All of my art comes out of my head, but is based on real life," he said. 

Nothing in his paintings are decoration; everything serves a purpose in creating the mood or atmosphere of a painting.
