I believe that when we see our life as this bird or animal rising up from past situations and starting a new direction in life, gives us the faith and belief that when we think of ourselves as  this great sacred bird of importance we see our decisions as necessary and gaining strength for change coming from within our soul.  The Bennu phoenix is an animal of great sacred importance to the ancient Egyptians. It resembled two of the most common types occupying the Egyptian side of the Red Sea – Its name is derived from the word weben that translates into “to rise” or “to shine”.

In ancient Greece and Rome, the Phoenix was associated with Phoenicia, now (modern Lebanon), a civilization famous for its production of purple dye from conch shells. Herodotus who was Greek believed it came to Arabia every 500 years carrying the body of its father in egg myrrh..
