Crossing the finish line.
What does that term mean to you?
For me and for others who have a pursuit of something in mind.
It is a rewarding moment when you realize that you have completed the task. In my case, it is the moment that you sincerely know that you have gained the respect and acknowledgment of your piers.  That moment when all your hard work, trials and errors are standing behind you and now you stand as an accomplished member in your field. Recognized as one of the best among hundreds. You know that your work and your technique to achieve such value makes the world say you have arrived. For Rocky in his battle to go against a true champion Apollo Creed, the world heavyweight champion in boxing. He knew he was not in his league and that this opportunity comes only once in a lifetime to fight the Champ.   But as he spoke to his wife he said, I know I can't beat him, but If I can go the distance with Creed, then I will have done something no other fighter has done before. So when the bell rings and I am still standing, I will have won in my heart and for me.
In Rocky I, he crossed the finished line even though he did not win the title of Heavy Weight Champion of the world. He took a beating and gave Apollo Creed a fight the world and Creed would remember. he went the distance all 15 rounds.
