The Don S. McClure Show- Book Talk with Author "Jannise R. Childs."

Every year a new author finds the courage to start on a unique adventure, what some call the dream of a lifetime, to publish their first book.  The task is as close to becoming a ship captain pursuing the great White Whale on the open seas, or joining in the sea battle between  "Master and Commander" sailing on the torturous open waters in search of fame and fortune.  Yes! this daunting task brings to the imagination the very words, "I am the captain of my ship I am the master of my faith."   To take on this ordeal to even write a book one must have faith in self.  One must be willing to face the fact their book might not sell or only a few copies in a year and not enough to pay back the amounts spent for editing, promotion, and the relentless hours to write down the very thoughts for the story no matter if it is fiction or based on real life. And the hardest task in this journey is the title of the book, which must be different from all the other books created on the selected subject matter.

Yes, the competition is vast with no guarantee or any success.

But when a new author such as Jannise R. Childs has made it a desire of the heart to write the overall accomplishment is the fact that she decided to follow and complete her dream, of becoming a published author.

Only time can say what the results are for financial rewards or dust. But that was never the main reason she decided to write in the first place. The finishing of her adventure is worth the effort.

I once wrote, "if you never attempt to take a step forward then your journey will never begin and you will never know if you believed you could take the first step."
