The worldwide death toll from the novel Coronavirus has now surpassed over 500,000, or half a million, cases, with more than 10 million(!) confirmed diagnoses. More than a quarter of those deaths have been in the United States alone. Data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that the actual figures in many regions are probably 10 times as high as reported.

Were our governments too quick to reopen states? Are we now facing higher numbers than ever before because our elected leaders put the value of the economy over the value of human life
