This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the importance of sitting down to consider if one is ready for the radical call of disciplesip.  Disciplesip is a resurrection event.  The one called by Jesus must removed himself or herself out from among the spiritually dead. Discipleship is a decisive event that sets the called one within the milieu of dynamic God-controlled happenings.  One must not think that discipleship is a religious call in the all too watered down western sense.  Love for God (Gk. Agape, self-sacrifice and to extinguish self-interest), and love (Gk.Agape,self-sacrifice and to extinguish self-interest) for people is intrinsic to the call of Jesus.  Discipleship, therefore, transcends our most cherised beliefs about ourselves and others.  The western view of discipleship is tantamount to an amusing soical fiction.  Discipleship is the willingness to once and for all put off the old garments (way of being), and put on the new graments of right-ness in Jesus (imputed righteousness of Christ).
