"...I Will Fear No Evil for You are with Me..."

Psalm 23 is one of the Shepherd psalms.  It is the confession of a heart that has become mature.  It is the confession of a heart that has been disciplined through many powerful situations that God is always faithful to those who are faithful to Him.  The psalmist's heart has become stablized by truth, and he knows that he has been set free of the conditional word of man.  He is a light-dweller, and his soul is testifying this ever new reality.  He has been on the mountain top with God, and as a light-bearer when he experiences the darkness of the valley of the shadow of death he knows that the Light-giving God is with him.
