God Forgives the Penalty of Sin (Death) but We Suffer the Consequences of Sin

The wages (salt) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus.  All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.  God is not willing that any should perish, but that all may come to have eternal life,  Jesus suffered the wrath of God on a Roman gibbet for our salvation.  Those who think to trample under foot the blood of the Son of God must know that there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we might be saved.
