The Night Jesus Preached The Love of God

Jesus is the center of the saving activity of God.  He is alos the incarnation of God in the flesh.  Jesus was very popular in the first years of his public ministry.  Later on he would have problems with both the religious and political authorities of his time.  They wanted nothing to do with Jesus because he threatened their control over the people.  Jesus only spoke to the people of the love of God.  He did not want to threaten the cosmic powers, but it happened.
