 After a disclaimer, Dr Jonas, your host, congratulates the Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, OH for their successful opening in February.  He introduces his coffee for the show:  Tulli's Kona Extra Bold from his Keurig coffee maker.  Timely comments about President Obama being in Dayton with the British Prime Minister while the show is recorded.  The time change (spring ahead) and March Madness distract Dr S a bit before he focuses on the blog post by Dr Fatty Finds Fitness.  Dr Fatty relates a very stressful family death and her grief closing her post with a request for prayer if the reader "is so inclined".

Match Day results for senior medical students are introduced as a topic from The Future of family Medicine Blog, with preliminary results reviewed by Dr S.  Still not enough students choosing Family Medicine (8.4%).  Dr Jonas comments on workforce needs and The recent Dr S Blog post about closing down Fmily Medicine Training programs.

Medical Mojave is next reviewed with a sick child and her personal risks for exacerbation of adrenal insufficiency which can flare up with stress. Anaphylaxing with Mast Cell Disease and others is briefly reviewed w/ thoughts of various stressors and adjusting her steroid dose.   Dr Laurie Edwards tweets/blog comments on her use of technology and social media to show her child's physician the breathing problem and use of tech to support her own care and rare disease site NORD.

Dr Kenny Lin's blog Common Sense Family Doctor is about doctors knowledge about price of therapies and medication.  Healthcare etc. posts about red meat and Harvard paper/ flaws.

Dr S post laments conflict between workforce needs and closure of Family Medicine training sites, one at a time. Dr Jonas expounds for several minutes.  Last is 20 tweet reviews, genomics "trialog" included w Dr Jonas opinion.
