She has worked providing individual therapy to many people experiencing depression, anxiety and adjustment disorder.  She is passionate about destigmatizing mental health and therapy among communities of color and within the Islamic faith especially.  Her primary focus is working with women, particularly Muslim women, though not exclusively.  She is committed to working to de-stigmatize the idea of therapy, especially among the Black community and Muslim communities
