Rita Daniels, the great, great grand  niece of Mother Harriet Tubman.    According to Sis. Rita, "they (the family) had no role, no input, nor any financial gains regarding the "HARRIET"  film that is now grossing millions of dollars. The movie "Harriet" is more than a  media orchestrated controversy. It's actually another sophisticated DIS (disregard, dismissal, and disrespect) of Black folks integrity, intelligence, and History.  And this is done right in our faces under the guise of bringing a much needed story told on the big screen.. You be the judge.  Sis Rita further added that the story line was not one that she (and other family members) cared for and  they also did not like the character depiction/representation. In view of this, the Tubman family strongly believes that another story must be told and shown  Clearly something has gone array and it appears that Hollywood has once again directed a misdirect.
