Special Guest: Joe España – Executive Consultant and Coach at Performance Equations

Despite much effort and energy devoted to employee engagement, the level of fully engaged employees remains relatively flat globally.  This is despite evidence to show how employee engagement affects turnover, productivity, absenteeism, customer satisfaction, business growth and profitability. Traditionally it’s been seen as a top-down approach, typically instigated by HR professionals through an annual employee survey of some kind.  Despite the data, not much has shifted in the last 10 years.  More recent focus has started to ask what can team leaders and managers throughout an organisation actually do to create the circumstances for great employee engagement. In this conversation, we’ll explore the practical things managers can do to boost engagement and affect a more successful and psychologically satisfying workplace.

Joe Espana is an executive consultant and coach as well as a student of employee engagement.  He’s worked internationally with global brands focusing on culture shaping, leadership transformation and employee experience.  He has a particular interest in employee engagement as the most significant contributor to business success.

Join us as we discuss what managers can actually do about employee engagement.
