AN ACQUIRED TASTE

When I first tried yogurt, I did not like it. I was told to try it again and I did. It tasted a little bit better. But as I continued to try it, I actually began to like it and now I love it. Acquired taste is defined as  something or someone that is not easily or immediately liked or appreciated or something that is unfamiliar or objectionable but becomes gradually more liked or accepted: It was all in the taste. When I first heard about the Lord I was intrigued. I saw the outside or the results of others serving God and being blessed and I thought to taste test but not realizing the inside labor that goes on in acquiring the taste.  Psalms 34:8-18 say, taste and see that the LORD is good; Let me introduce you to the best taste I have ever had in my life. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! 9O fear the LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want10The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;  But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing11Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.12Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good? The righteous cry, and the LORD hear And delivers them out of all their troubles  The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous,But the LORD delivers him out of them all. Be encouraged to taste and see for yourself, it may take sometime to acquire the taste of continued living and loving the Lord but as you do you will come to feel and know as I do, What a taste of deliciousness and I am so glad that I tried HIM. Amen.
