When a devoted Kenyan husband surprises his new Black-American wife with an adorable kitten (Savi), neither are prepared for the impact it wields upon their home, their life, and ultimately, their marriage. The animated, documentary style film short SAVI THE CAT, will capture viewers emotions, along with plenty of laughter and heartfelt moments. The film was directed, written and produced by Bryan Tucker and Netsanet Tjirongo. This adorable short film shares the story of the highs and lows of a first-time cat owner Netsanet Tjirongo, who's an Emmy-nominated Ethiopian-Namibian filmmaker, educator, and community organizer.  Bryan Tucker is a three-time regional Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker. Bryan has worked on a wide range of documentary, non-profit and commercial projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, including for VICE, PBS, Seattle Seahawks, Yoga Behind Bars, and The Guardian, to name a few.  Savi the Cat will be screening at the Tribeca  Film Festival June 11, 15 and June 17. https://www.tribecafilm.com/films/savi-the-cat-2023
