The National Conference of Black Mayors (NCBM) was incorporated 1974. The association was originally organized as the Southern Conference of Black Mayors (SCBM).
Today, NCBM represents over 650 black mayors from across the United States. The organization has also organized Mayors from around the world now representing over 32,000 mayors of African descent.
