Dr. Shelton Land is a: Scholar. Writer. Educator. Producer. Social Entrepreneur.   He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Norfolk State University, Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and PhD in Public Policy & Administration from Walden University.  Dr. Land has 20+ years of experience and practice in the theatre and performing arts field that range from strategic planning, programming, and implementation. He blends his education and love for the arts to help build community.  

Dr. Land is also a proud member of Urban Playwrights United, serves as the Artistic Director of the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, and President/CEO of Land Mindz Incorporated.  Land Mindz is a leading non-profit that utilizes theatre as a tool to ‘motivate’ returning citizens of incarceration and homeless, while ‘edutaining’ the public about challenges that disenfranchised people face.  He has coined his efforts as “Motivational Edutainment.”  Dr. Land can be found on FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM as BOSS ‘SEE’.
