Many Youth today are faced with the facts of life. The challenge is one that is often a choice between a life that is locked down or wild and crazy. How can Youth and Young Adults be cool, fit in, and still be Christian? Is there anything wrong with wanting to be cute or even to look sexy? How can anyone condone being Sexy and Christian? What about all the guilt trips? Just Say No, don't look, don't think, and certainly don't touch-- is this really working? Or is the very mentality that contributes to an environment of sex, that is used to sell everything from Airplanes to Washer and Dryers? With the advent of the internet the whole world is available on computer and mobile phones. Some youth are engaging in "SexTing" or "The New Goodnight Kiss"... with alarming rates of STD's and Pregnancies in Youth and Teens, just to force them in church and make them confess does not work. So "Where Do We Go From Here?" What are the viable alternatives in the 21st Century for Christians and others who care to "tell the truth" and "face the facts" and still be in relationship with our youth and young adults today? How do we navigate these troublesome waters? How will be help our teens to see the reality of promiscuity? How can we get the message across, "Don't Do Like I Did" or "Be Aware of Your Actions-- One Date Can Change Your Life Forever!" The Church has been Silent on Sexuality too long. This is an issue that we must deal with realistically and honestly, and openly! The only thing worse than the Silence of the Church is ignorance when it speaks... So Come and Let Us Reason Together so our Youth can make Wiser Decisions than we did! Call 347.855.8793 with your questions and comments!
