HUMAN RIGHTS DEMAND welcomes James Cosner on Saturdays at 3pm ET for as long as he is able. Call--in at (347)857-3293.

Cosner, a human rights advocate and college professor, will begin a fast (hunger strike) May 13, 2014. He says his hunger strike is to demand release of political prisoners, end the epidemic of police brutality and terrorism, and raise awareness about the ongoing deplorable mistreatment of immigrants throughout the United States.

Cosner asserts:

I vow to the Creator, my Ancestors, and the people that I will fast until death, unless the following demands are met by the US Government:
1st: Free Leonard Peltier, Move 9/8, Mumia Abu Jamal, Ramsey Muniz, and Rocky Boice
2nd: Fire immediately and file first degree murder charges against certain police officers as listed at the Campaign4Justice website http://www.campaign4justice.com
3rd: Stop deportations and detainment of immigrants

RELEASE THE INNOCENT
Thousands of innocent people are released from incarceration every year, mostly after serving their sentences. Between 5k and 10k people are wrongfully convicted annually. The Univ. of Mich. Law School Innocence Clinic says most wrongful convictions are caused by:

Eyewitness Misidentification
Junk Science
False Confessions
Government Misconduct
Snitches
Bad Lawyering

The U.S. Supreme court has NOT determined that inmates have the right to have post-conviction evidence considered by courts.
