How much has the NBA changed with "The Decision"?

Interesting thought right? Free agency has been around for years, but the leverage free agency gives a player changed with Lebron James. Now, a mega player could hold a team and indeed the league hostage awaiting the decision of where that player has decided to sign. With the new television deal upcoming, will it get worse. Will there be a "Decision 3"? Will other players in the NBA begin doing the same on a regular basis? How would that effect the league on a competitive basis? The term "Big 3" has forced some teams to scramble to supposedly keep up. However other teams have stayed the course and have forced teams to keep up with them (Spurs, Hawks, Warriors). What are your thoughts?
