The King of DC Media (KODCM), William Powell, welcomes Producer and Director  Shelbe Chang. Chang is a  transgender actress, model, filmmaker and activist who wrote and directed the indie film LGBT Love Stories.

Shelbe Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan and came to USA when she was 12. She was raised in Orange County, California. Growing up, Shelbe had a dream to be in the entertainment industry as an actor, director and screen writer. Therefore, she chose to major in Communication Arts - Film/TV & Photography in college.

During her college years, she did some background and extra work just for fun and gained some experience. She also auditioned for TVB Hong Kong New Talent Singing Contest in 1994. After college, she worked at a Chinese TV Network company as an editor about 2 years and then she pretty much left the entertainment business.

Until 2012, Shelbe started out modeling/acting and heavily involved with the transgender community. In 2013, she expanded her talent as a contributing writer for Transformation Magazine, creating content for Cinegeoff's blog and started her own independent production company called, Transflix. In 2014, she began her film making career by writing, producing, directing and acting in her first feature indie film called LGBT Love Stories.
