I haven’t had a drop of alcohol in 30 days. No liquor, no wine, no mixed drinks, no beer (my preferred poison)…not even a blast of mouthwash. I gave myself the challenge of abstaining for 30 days from something I love in order to learn a thing or two about someone I love: ME.
What can 30 days without alcohol teach about high performance strategy and success? Turns out it can teach plenty.
And in this episode of The High-Altitude Mentorship Show™ podcast, I break down what the last 30 days have been like, what I actually learned from it, and why I did it. Listen in and learn: - How taking the difficult path is key and essential for pushing through to new levels of performance - Why saying no to a simple joy can lead to newfound strength in all ares of your life - The myths of denying yourself comfort you may take for granted (and why you should) - How keeping a journal is a tool to virtually guarantee your success during any challenge - What you can learn about your own psychology from doing a challenge like this in private - and more Total confession: this has been one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. Seriously. And as happy as I am to go back to enjoying frosty microbrewed IPAs, I have a newfound appreciation for myself and the discipline it takes to see something like this trough to the end. I highly encourage you to find your own challenge and undertake it. It just might change your life. Fly High. Fly Fast. Fly Far. ~JT
