Single parenthood is quite prominent in today's society. The reasons may vary from an increased amount of teen parents to parental abandonment, but nonetheless, single parenthood is a large part of our nation's household compositions. A majority of these households are headed by women. Although women have been known to be multi-taskers and "super-doers", can raising a child alone be efficient enough, or is the lack of a man in the household, or in the child's life, shortchanging a well-rounded upbringing?
