Parents today have a different kind of youth to raise. They are technologically-savvy, hypersexual, and exposed to much more intense scenarios in their schoolday than we ever did. One of the most terrifying and outraging issues we as African-Americans face is racism, and in its modern-day morphed state--and the massive amount of our children who have become its hate crime victims--it's an African-American parent's worst nightmare. 
 

Our children are being introduced to the ugly Despite our outrage, we have the hard task of teaching them about the racism and the hatred, while teaching them how to rise above the ignorance and be the best people that they can be. In light of the racist rampages against African-Americans, is the "straight-talk " approach more effective? Or do we use a more subtle tactic in pesenting the issue to our children?
