Single parenthood is a hell of a feat! There's an 18-year minimum commitment requirement, which calls for providing food, clothes and shelter round-the-clock supervision, teaching life lessons, and wearing many hats. But wait...there's more! You have to do it with only half of the required tools and as an African-American mother, you have to add the latest updates curriculum of teaching our boys how to be men, and how to correctly Exist While Being Black. Ah, but wait...there's still more. You already have to deal with a missing partner, and perform their half of the team project duties, and now you are a woman raising a boy that one day will become a man. What happens if your son grows up and says he's gay? Well, according to controversial radio host Tommy Sotomayor...you blame yourself as a failure. Considering that these statements are coming from a perpertrator of abuse, parental abandonment and sexual improprieties...do we brush him off with our frustrated proverbial flyswatters, or does he have a point?
