"Florida : The No-Sunshine State For Blacks?"

Marissa Alexander, a young mother facing sixty years in Florida prison for firing a single warning shot at her abusive husband to scare him away.  George Zimmerman, chased and shot a young black male taking his life...gets acquitted of all charges. Michael Dunn initiates, instigates and pursues a fight, kills a teen after chasing a retreating car and firing ten times, and he is convicted of ATTEMPTED murder...all have three things in common...The state of Florida, the Stand Your Ground Law, and Prosecutor Angela Corey.  Whats the formula? Black and White components and the legal system. Whats the outcome? An explosion of black smoke...one that seemingly burns through the Black race and slaps the wrists of its White counterparts. 

The scales of a supposed "colorblind" system seems to tip quite clearly in the favor of White America. Not one execution carried out since Florida implemented the death penalty in 1976 was done so to a White who murdered a Black, and under Corey's prosecutorial tutelage, 21 criminals were sentenced to death row, of which 14 were Black. Black offenders get buried while long, executive decisions must be made before even charging a White offender of the same crime can be decided upon. These are just a few factors that lend support to racially-biased justice in the state of Florida. Is this an ad campaign that is sending the message: "Florida: The Sunshine State--but not if you're Black"?
