"Donald Sterling's Not-So-Silver Tongue: What Should Blacks' True Outrage Be?"

LA Clippers' owner Donald Sterrling has made headlines for making racist remarks...again. There is an all-around uproar emerging from not just African-Americans, but from other minorities, and from all classes of people, from the NBA staff to the NBA fans. Understandably, there is an outrage, especially among African-Americans...but considering that  Sterling has a history of verbal savagery, grueling  court litigations,  and slumlord practices...yet, he managed to land an African-American girlfriend to direct his racist rants to, the NAACP was prepared to honor him  for a SECOND Lifetime Achievement Award, his stadium was still  filled with African-American ticketholders...just a few things of many that send the  message that we will simply grumble and accept anything thrown at us. Sterling has made no secret of his obnoxious bigotry, so his latest remarks should not be surprising. But if we continue to support people like him, shouldn't we be outraged with ourselves?
