"No matter how old you get, you're always gonna be our baby". Famous words that describes a parent's love and sacred connection to their offspring, But when that sentiment spills over into a series of meddling, bailing out, re-arranging, etc, of our our full-fledged adult children's affairs, have we kept an unhealthy grip on the proverbial umbilical cord? Rearing our children into adulthood doesn't mean we abandon them when they reach the age of majority, but does it mean that we never let their hands go? Many parents have extended their "child-rearing guidance" far beyond the foundational setting and created the "in-laws from hell" legends. Can we love our children into destruction?
