Our apologies for the scheduling mix up with the program today. Pastor Troy Evans was unable to join us, but his book is packed with information that can help us connect with at risk children, we will do our best to reschedule him at a later date. Until then, you can learn more about him on his website: www.theedgegr.com.

Troy Evans was chasing the hip hop dream: fame fortune and power could be his. And he was sure he could grab it if gang violence or the law didn’t get him first. Then redemption stepped in from the most unlikely circumstances and brought about a most unlikely change.

Today on The River, the author of The Edge of Redemption will encourage us to engage subcultures we often perceive as threatening. He’ll offer encouragement in ways we can reach out and offer redemption to those on the edge of destruction. Because of all he learned from his past, Pastor Evans has seen the miracle of his own redemption repeated and multiplied in the same streets that once enslaved him. Those of us who desire to reach out can glean invaluable help from him.
