During the Affairs of the Heart Month we start with an oldie but goodie: When a Man Loves a Woman is one of those rare films that illuminates the issues of marriage and addictions like alcoholism, which can fray the fabric of Love and family.

This movie shows the hard work of loving and holding onto one's self in the midst of life.  Despite the obvious love one sees that this couple have for one another, unresolved past issues can rear later in life and practically steal the best things we have going for us away.

What I love about this movie is the interactions between all the characters, which were Brilliantly written to mimic real life and the soundtrack with Percy Sledge w/Michael Bolton and Ricki Lee Jones' Running From Mercy and Stewart's Coat   I hope you take the time to listen to these wonderful songs and read the words listed with the song "Running From Mercy" which is all about love and the healing power it embodies!  Instead of wishing you love this Big Heart Month, I send you love and I pray you feel it maybe as you greet the new day, as you hear a  child's squeal of joy, as you become aware at any moment of your own beautiful breath and Brilliance....
