Guest Bio: Mr. Lawrence ‘Larry’ Hester, a native North Carolinian & his wife Carrie, reside in Springfield, VA. From 1989 to the present, he has faithfully served as Chairman of the Deacon/Deaconess Ministry at Antioch Baptist Church, Fairfax Station, VA. He is an Army veteran with over 21 years of honorable service in the Air Defense Artillery Branch, which included a tour in Vietnam (71-72.) He taught mathematics in Fairfax County Public Schools and was also a well-known entrepreneur, selling sports memorabilia through his ShortStop Baseball Card Shop at the Springfield & Potomac Mills Malls from 1991–2008. Larry’s walks through life challenges have been witnessed by many & left many inspired!!
