On today's The Expressive Mom Show, we will be covering autism. I will be interviewing the owner of Autism Village,  Topher Wurts. Topher has been around the block a few times in the world of business where he was known for bringing together marketing, technology and teamwork. After learning his son Kirby had autism, he was floored. He and his family had become one of 2.8 million families in the U.S. who have been affected by autism. Wurts didn’t know where to turn. In his mind there wasn’t much out there to help him to understand autism and how to cope with all the problems that come with it. Most importantly, he didn’t know where to go for help even though he had carefully reviewed the offerings from the five known U.S. autism organizations such as Autism Speaks and Autism Society of America. So, putting his entrepreneurial hat on, he invented Autism Village.
