What Mainstream Media Get Wrong About the Tea Party Movement

The mainstream American news media have not been kind to the Tea Party movement, according to one of its most impassioned members, Dr. Ed Holliday. Holliday, a conservative author and speaker, has been a supporter of the Tea Party in his home state of Mississippi almost since its inception. Contrary to national news media’s biased portrayals of Tea Party activists as bigots and homophobes, he says that the movement welcomes members from all walks of life, and is accepting of different viewpoints. Dr. Holliday himself has worked hard to bring about racial reconciliation in Mississippi and regards Dr. Martin Luther King as one of his personal heroes.
