Being a parent is never what other people tell you it is. When I went to lamaze class they told me to fixate and breathe and I would be okay through the 32 hours of labor, what they didn't tell me was how drastically my life would change.
Kids are such a huge part of your life, sometimes your whole life, and so when they grow up and move on, well, it's tough on you. That empty nest syndrome seems to be a good idea in theory, but what happens is that little human that you adore decides they don't need you anymore and you have to learn how to be okay with that.
This show we will talk about how to either get ready for, move through, or revel in our children entering adulthood. There will be science, theory, and jokes (because if we don't laugh we might cry) to help soften and understand the blow that our children leaving us causes.
If you don't have kids, join us to laugh and be glad that you don't have to go through this. :)
