Michelle A. Smullen considers it an honor & pleasure to be the wife of her high school sweetheart. the mother of their two beautiful children. In 2018, in the endeavor to complete her ministry degree, Michelle was required to write a thesis paper. Although she developed a love for writing early on in her life, she never engaged in the idea of becoming a published writer until now. a creation to bring hope from a traumatic experience of pain. what do you do when what you are feeling, and thinking is not aligning with what God is saying? As a newly published author, Michelle shares her heart in her first published work, Freedom to Love After the Hurt. This thesis turned devotional is her personal journey to overcoming the fear to love freely after the hurt that marital infidelity has caused.  Michelle has found her purpose in the words of Isaiah 61:1-3. For it was during the “perfect storm” of her life that she discovered that her immense love for helping people & feeling the heaviness of their burdens is indeed divinely orchestrated. God has chosen and anointed her to proclaim His Word to bring hope & freedom to the hopeless, giving them a crown of beauty for their ashes, all for the display of His glory. the experience of her own pain & brokenness that keeps her at the feet of Jesus; ultimately leading her to the unveiling of her God given purpose. Unashamed, unafraid, and unapologetic, Michelle is a humble woman after God's own heart.
