#MyInvestingStory is created to share the stories of individual investors.

Ann McNeill, a BetterInvesting Volunteer, talks with the Bronzeville Investment Club(BIC) about their investing story.

The Bronzeville Investment Club (BIC), is named after a south Chicago neighborhood. It’s a newer club, founded in 2014. Members are young men and women. Their mission statement is: “to educate families and communities with the knowledge and skills to invest profitably and responsibly in the stock market.”
Even though it’s a young club, the Bronzeville portfolio has a very broad list of 23 holdings. It holds an annual self-audit of its portfolio.
Bronzeville Investment Club has built a solid portfolio with strong blue-chip growth companies such as Home Depot and Visa plus modern growers such as Amazon and
Facebook.
