Dr. Mark C. Schug is Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and President of Mark Schug Consulting. He is also a Senior Program Advisor at Lakeland University in Sheboygan, WI. Mark taught for over 36 years at the high school and university levels. He speaks and writes about economics and financial education.Mark has written and edited over 230 publications and over 125 articles that have appeared in national journals. He has written or co-authored over 25 books and monograph. His latest book is titled Teachers Can Be Financially Fit: Economists’ Advice for Educators. Mark has spoken to local, state, and national groups throughout the United States and in 12 other countries. He has been quoted numerous times in local, state, and national news media. He served for several years on non-profit boards including the (national) Association of Private Enterprise Education, Economics Wisconsin, Business and Economics Academy of Milwaukee, School Choice Wisconsin, University School of Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies. Mark earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He has received six national awards for leadership, curriculum writing (two), service, and research (two) in economic education.
