Matthew Green is a young investor of approximately 5 years. His investment journey began while enrolled in University in Jamaica pursuing a BSc. Of Human Resources and Psychology. A single course in Financial Management was all it took to begin his journey as a long-term investor.
After learning about compound interest and bank interest rates in comparison to stock market returns, at the age of 21 his childhood savings was converted to stocks. While his journey began on the Jamaican Stock Exchange (JSE), it really evolved after immigrating to the US three years ago and joining the Agbarra Investment club in South Florida.
Currently Matthew serves as the club’s assistant treasurer, and a member of the portfolio and audit committees. Aligned to his passion and interests in financial management, Matthew has since obtained his master’s in Organizational Psychology, and is currently pursuing opportunities in his field to continue to work within the Financial Sector.
