She received an O’Hara Service Award for her contributions to the chapter in 2018. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside, in 1968 with a degree in Mathematics, married a Captain in the Air force, and spent 28 years moving from one location to another while working in accounting off and on. Her last job was working in General Accounting for Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, Virginia.
She joined BetterInvesting in 1997 where she helped reorganize the Great Scott Investment Club in O’Fallon, IL, and has remained the club treasurer to this day. She became the educator for the club and then joined the St. Louis Chapter as a director/educator in 2002. She helped start the Model Investment Club of St. Louis and another model club for the chapter located in Illinois which lasted 5 years before disbanding in 2016. She also started a “Let’s Talk Stocks” discussion group for the Chapter and our “Classes To Go” program where she brings their classes to clubs.
