The Topic of my show tonight will be, who was H. Rap Brown? Who were his mentors and what did he stand for in the black community during the 60's & 70's. Did you know that H. Rap Brown changed his name to Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin? While we struggle to better understand what is happening to black people today, in America, and in today's headlines, let us take another look at what our Black Revolutionay Elders were faced with decades ago while attempting to irradicate injustices to people of color and black people in particular around the world. Brother Muhamma show last night: Who Did It To You, featuring Dr. James Jones III History and Prossefo Carl "Tone" Jones and Bro Lee, Hey P. Newton & Bobby Seals, founders of the Black Panther Party in 1966 were discussed at Bro Muhammad's Round Table. I thought another of our Elder Black Panter Brothers should be discuss as well. Now, as then, we are facing the same issues of racism and hatred called by different names, but the same evil intent to keep people of color in their "so called places". Well, we're not having it! The Initiative Radio Network would like to mentor people of color and imparticular black people by re-visiting our martors/mentors who gave all their energies and lives so that the children of our generation and future would have a platform to shut down and shout out injustices to our people wherever they may be in the world. So Join us tonight, we will also be covering some of the recent events happening in Ferguson, MO and continue to mentor and instructed our families on researching our history: "if a race has no history, if it has no worthwhile tradition, it becomes a negligible factor in the thought of the world and it stands in danger of being exterminated." - Carter G. Woodson.
