From the Front Porch with Professor Carl Tone Jones

This week we welcome a special guest to the Porch, Sister Kara Poole AKA Host K. Lashae! Sister Kara hosts a weekly talk show on The Source Radio Network addressing the concerns of the Black Community. In addition to that, she also is the creator and producer of The Great Griot, a treasure trove of video clips as she details important people, places and events from our history. Here is an excerpt from the website:

 "A griot is a West African term given to a musician, poet, or storyteller that keeps up with the oral history, genealogy, culture, and sometimes politics of the people.  It is quoted that when a griot dies it is just as an entire library was burned down."

Whether on her radio show or with her hard hitting videos Sister Kara has been speaking truth to power coveing topics such as the vaccine epidemic, racism white supremacy as well as addressing the needs for Black people learn our history forcing us to make a critical analysis of our current state throughout the diaspora.
