Mentoring, to me, means to build. Jenga, is an African word derived from Swahili that means “to build”.   When we share our experiences, knowledge and ideas we are building.  Because many of us are at different levels of experiences and knowledge, and based on our ages, we may need to listen at times and speak at other times during the Jenga.   So we may learn from each other regardless of any obstacles.  This is very promising, as well as very important.  For Black people in America, it is imperative we engage in the building dialog process with each other, in order to break the spell of white racist supremacy cast on us since our ancestors were brought here to America and put in slavery.  Here in America, people of color and Black people, in particular, have been victims of  unethical,  physical and mental injustices and death on a daily basis which still persist since the days of slavery, and left many of us with no hope of ever regaining our true identities of a proud Black people, with a proud Black Heritage from Africa.  Please join Bro Jesse, that's me, each Thursday at 6:00 PM/EST or 5:00 PM/CST, by calling 1-914-803-4571, at The Initiative Radio Network, where we can build bridges together as Black people and educate our children in an effort to save their lives as well as our own and demand justice for our people.
