Brother Jamil Muhammad is a longtime helper of Minister Louis Farrakhan, and he is very happy for having had the opportunity!
Born in Cincinnati and reared there and in Washington, DC, Brother Jamil began his labor with Minister Farrakhan during his sophomore year at Howard University, in 1978.
From that time, Mr. Muhammad rose quickly in the ranks of the growing and rebuilding Nation, assuming his first Ministry post in 1981 as the head of the New Orleans Mosque. From there he led Mosques in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Atlanta. From Atlanta, he served as Southern Regional Minister, responsible for the entire Deep South.
In 1998,Minister Louis Farrakhan brought Brother Student Minister Jamil to Chicago in the capacity of Special Assistant to the Minister. In 2001, Brother Minister Farrakhan appointed Bro. Jamil to serve as his National Spokesman, a designation that he still carries today.
