Sister Lacretia Muhammad is the Executive Producer of Saba Islamic Fashion events. Her fashion events are workshops and shows geared towards the youth. Teaching and displaying modesty culture and refinement to women and girls all ages, in March 2012 she received a Women’s History Month Award from Philadelphia’s City Council President, Mrs. Janey Blackwell. Her work in fashion has opened up the doors for future Muslim designers to reach the masses. In 2013 Lacretia made history by producing the very first fashion show at the historic 19th annual Islamic Heritage Festival Penn’s Landing Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Saba Islamic Fashion Show has been highlighted in Youth Creations Magazine and the historic Philadelphia Tribune, both Black owned and operated publications. Lacretia’s desire to reflect and help cultivate the feminine side of Allah is what fuels her passion for fashion. In April 2015 Lacretia appeared on Comcast in Wilmington, Delaware with Dr. Harmon Carrey, she gave an inspiring and uplifting message encouraging teenage girls to embrace modesty as a lifestyle.
