Brother Troy was first introduced to The Teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad when he was a freshman in high school. He visited the mosque regularly and later joined The Nation Of Islam in 1998. He has served his nation in several capacities over the years. He currently serves in the Student Ministry, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Education, National Auditing Department and is a Self-Improvement study group coordinator. Troy is a lifelong learner whose passion as a student, and love for technology, has been a propelling force to not only learn, but also to teach. He has a background Instructional Technology and has several certificates in a number of areas including online learning, effective communication, leadership, organization and overcoming barriers to learning. He has done extensive research in culturally sensitive education, racial identity development, and online learning. He worked for the City Colleges of Chicago as an Instructional Design Manager for almost 10 years designing online courses and managing instructors. Bro. Troy 5x is the CEO/Founder of The Collective 9 an online platform designed to assist in the establishment of a New Educational Paradigm, based in the nine ministries. This is accomplished by providing online courses, shows, conferences and coming soon an online marketplace, news hub, discussion boards and more.
