ATTORNEY MAWULI DAVIS, of the Davis Bozeman Law Firm, and one of ATLANTA'S top CIVIL RIGHTS LAWYERS, along with special guest, MARIA LLOYD drop by to discuss MASS INCARCERATION and how respectability politics holds us back from properly addressing the devastating role the PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX has on BLACK FAMILIES. Lloyd's father, MARIO LLOYD, is currently fighting for executive clemency to have his LIFE SENTENCE commuted after serving 31 years in prison for a NON-VIOLENT DRUG offense.  As we highlight the Lloyd family's fight for their father's release, it begs the question why wasn't he and more like him released when PRESIDENT OBAMA was paroling non-violent drug offenders?  With over 500K BLACK FATHERS currently locked up in the prison system do either of our guests think the 1st STEP ACT signed by the TRUMP administration will help curb recidivism and keep those fathers who return from prison home? What priority should be placed on MASS INCARCERATION when we ask politicians to provide their BLACK AGENDA? MENTAL DALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK
