Salifya Akers is a passionate and talented plus-size personal stylist with over seven years of styling experience in the fashion industry. Her love for fashion led her to pursue her Bachelor's in Consumer Apparel Retail Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Salifya started her career as a stylist for a popular plus-size chain retailer. She found joy in helping women cultivate their personal style and break free of limiting beliefs about plus-size fashion. Looking to be more impactful, she transitioned to corporate America, working for a major department store where she worked in one of their private label brands for special sizes. However, her heart was happiest helping people on a personal level, so she launched her own company, Styled By Sal, which empowers plus-size women through wardrobe and style mentality transformations.
